10/31 Ginger

Ginger is a very beautiful flower. It is so interesting and fun to look at. Some people may think it is not a good flower to make a bouquet out of because it has a front and a back, but I think that is part of what makes it a great flower to use in a bouquet! Whether getting married on the beach in Hawaii or on a beach here in California, ginger gives the same exotic feeling.

The Bouquet is made from a few stems of ginger cut all the same length then arranged at different levels. By doing this it adds to the informal feel of the bouquet. A small band of leopard print ribbon is added at the gathering point. This maybe best for a bridesmaid because of its size, but a larger all ginger bouquet or ginger mixed with white anthiriums would make a wonderful bride’s bouquet.

Ginger is so large that is would make a crazy Boutonniere, but the petals can be used! A small piece of stem and a couple of rolled petals are arranged into this beautiful Boutonniere.

For a wedding with this theme I can picture long tables almost picnic style! Imagine these centerpieces down the table! Awesome!!
