Day 3: Colorful Peacocks….
Peacock feathers have been a growing trend for quite some time now. They are usually paired with colors such as blue, purple green and touches of pink. I loved the bride I had a few weeks ago. She wanted the peacock feathers with a lot of the colors, not just the standard blue purple and green.
This was a lot of fun for me! The Bridal Bouquet was made from pink mini calla lilies, white and black anemones, lime hydrangea, Billy balls, orange spray roses and foliage such as geranium and seeded eucalyptus. The base is covered with a collar of Galax leaves and the stems finished off with ivory ribbon and black pins. The black pins help tie in with the anemones. Peacock feathers are tucked low into the bouquet to add the perfect amount of the feather look.
For the Grooms boutonniere a single peacock feather is accented with orange spray rose and a single Billy ball. Variegated grass is looped to add a touch of movement.
The Bride also ordered a couple bracelet style corsages to be worn by some of the special woman in her life. Orchids, button mums and spray roses were paired with a few peacock eyes.
And of course boutonnieres for the special men in her life, fun and funky boutonnieres. A peacock sword is looped around a Billy ball and spray rose bloom.
