Day 9: Sarah and Patrick!

My last wedding for 2010 was a memorable one. This couple has been through SO much. When I met with the Bride for the first time we started talking about life. She was in a car crash earlier in 2010 and was not supposed to ever walk again. She was in a wheel chair when she tried on her wedding dress; here she was less than a year later WALKING down the aisle.  Her husband broke his ankle weeks before the wedding and had a couple surgeries prior to their big day. He had crutches and all! However, for their first dance he dropped them and DANCED with his wife. It was such a touching story, I almost cried!  I am getting all emotional even now!! They were a wonderful couple and I was SO honored to do their wedding flowers!  I wish them MANY wonderful memories and a very wonderful Happily-Ever-After!

Moving on to their flowers, the Bride’s bouquet contained mini calla lilies, roses, phlox, dendrobium orchids and stock. The Bridesmaid bouquets were made of roses, hydrangea, stock and dendrobium orchids.

For all the boutonnieres dendrobium orchids were accented with seeded eucalyptus. The Moms and Grandmothers wore corsages made form Cymbidium orchids.

The Virgin Mary Bouquet for the Catholic Ceremony matched all the colors of the wedding.

The aisle was flanked with bunches of babies breathe tied with simple purple ribbon. A GORGOUS look!

This couple really showed me how happy and perfect the wedding is no matter WHAT has happened on the way to the alter! A BIG thank you to Erin Patterson (714-222-6808; erinpatterson@me.com) and Bradley ( http://www.BradleyFryPhotography.com ) for the beautiful photos!

The flowers/arrangements/bouquets/etc were stunning to state it simply. Jacqueline’s professionalism, kindness and innovative designs made working with her a delight. I highly recommend Jacqueline Ahne as a floral designer. Her work speaks for itself (per the beautiful pictures). We can truly say that without her designs our perfect day would have been less than perfect.

    With sincerest appreciation,

    Sarah & Patrick Houlahan
